The creative mind doesn’t slow down with age.
“The two enemies of human happiness are pain and boredom.” Arthur Schopenhauer
Meaningful engagement matters at all stages of life! Have more fun.
The registration period for this unique adult day program is open, offering morning and afternoon workshops Monday – Friday in immersive art, movement, music and more. Adults over the age of 18 are welcome. The program is built around an extensive list of weekday workshop sessions in a cozy and creatively inspiring setting. Participants delve into the interests and hobbies they love in a nonacademic, experiential approach to art.
Explore your creativity in visual art, movement, presentation, and music. The daily schedule of 2 -3 well-paced sessions in art, movement, music and a variety of related workshops, offers the freedom to play without pressure in a small group of 3 – 5 participants. Silver Wings Arts Program helps participants expand and rekindle their creative passions in life. Emphasis is on providing the maximum experience with as many tangible take-aways as possible. Paint your portrait, design your personalized hiking/walking stick, write and publish your insights and memoirs, meditate on relaxation and peace in guided sessions, blend your personal aromatherapeutic sleep or pain aid, design that cute backpack for your grandchild, stretch and release tension in movement sessions, get on the microphone and inspire us with your writing or music. There’s so much of life to enjoy. As an additional service, basic caregiving oversights are provided, if needed, but not a requisite for registration. Basic caregiving oversights include medication reminders, light mobility, and general cognition assistance as needed.

Mission Statement
The mission is to provide a place for participants to find daily meaningful engagement through art, music, and movement in a relaxed, homey environment with like-minded companions.

Phoebe Catlin had been writing her memoirs about life as a teacher and guidance counselor for many years. She was in assisted living at a facility in St. Petersburg, Florida in 2017 when we met. She was 100 years old. Her one great desire was to publish the stories of her life as an educator in the coal mining towns of West Virginia and as a guidance counselor during the turbulent days of desegregation in the civil rights era of the 1960s. Getting her autobiography published was a dream come true. Three years after meeting, we released her book, I Could Tell You Stories. Phoebe was 103 years old. Her story reminds us to keep following our passions for as long as possible. Our publishing workshop helps participants design beautiful books of memoirs, poems, short stories and more as keepsakes forever – Silver Wings Arts Program Director
